Menopause in the Workplace
Practical menopause support for women working in high pressure, emotionally demanding roles
Menopause is increasingly recognised as something that can affect how women feel at work, particularly in roles that carry high emotional load, responsibility and pressure.
In care, community and voluntary sector settings, many women are balancing demanding work with menopause symptoms that can impact sleep, energy, mood and confidence. Often, this is happening alongside a sense that they need to keep going and not make a fuss.
Supporting menopausal women at work isn’t about awareness alone – it’s about how people feel day to day.
This is where my menopause wellbeing package sits. I work with teams to help women understand what’s happening in their bodies and leave with practical support they can implement immediately – to improve sleep, have more energy, ease mood changes and feel more like themselves again at work.
This isn’t a one-off intervention. It’s structured, practical support designed to create real, tangible impact over time.

The Workplace Menopause Support Package
This is the menopause wellbeing package I now offer to organisations who want to go beyond awareness and provide practical, ongoing support for staff and volunteers.
The focus is on:
- emotional regulation
- energy and confidence
- realistic strategies that fit around demanding roles
The package was recently delivered as part of a UK Shared Prosperity Fund supported pilot and is now available as a paid for offer for organisations who want to support menopausal women properly, not just raise awareness and move on.
How the support works
Support is delivered over a 12 month period, with three facilitated touchpoints spaced across the year.
The package includes:
Menopause awareness session
A supportive, relatable session that helps women understand what’s happening in their bodies and why symptoms can show up so strongly at work. The focus is on practical, everyday ways to ease symptoms – without overwhelm or medical jargon.
Guided breathwork session
A practical session focused on nervous system regulation, stress, sleep and emotional resilience. Women learn simple techniques they can use immediately to feel calmer, clearer and more in control during the working day.
Facilitated group session
This session is shaped by those who attend rather than a fixed agenda. It creates space for conversation, questions and clear, trustworthy guidance, helping women reflect on what’s working and what support they need next.
Together, these sessions provide ongoing support across the year, rather than expecting everything to change after a single workshop.
Why this approach works
Menopause symptoms don’t disappear after one session.
By spacing support across the year, women are given:
- time to absorb and apply what they learn
- reassurance that support is ongoing
- permission to make small, realistic changes rather than trying to “fix everything”
This helps women feel steadier at work, more confident in themselves and less like they’re constantly firefighting symptoms alongside their role.
Early feedback from the pilot
This menopause support package was mainly delivered within community and care sector settings as part of a UK Shared Prosperity Fund supported pilot.
Early participant feedback showed:
- 100% said the sessions helped them better understand what was happening in their bodies
- 100% felt more confident managing menopause symptoms day to day
- 100% said the support was useful and relevant to their roles and everyday lives
Participants particularly valued the practical focus, the opportunity to ask questions without being rushed and the reassurance of having ongoing support rather than a one-off intervention.
When women feel more informed, supported and able to manage symptoms at work, organisations are better placed to retain experienced staff and reduce stress related absence.
A short written summary of the pilot feedback can be shared with you following an initial conversation.
Cost and structure
When delivered to groups of up to 15 participants, this package equates to under £80 per person for a full year of structured menopause support.
This structure allows organisations to offer meaningful menopause support without needing large wellbeing budgets.
Where participant numbers are smaller, the structure and investment can be adapted.
Sessions can be delivered in person or online, depending on organisational need.
About the delivery
All sessions are delivered by Julie Court, award-winning menopause coach, speaker and workplace wellbeing practitioner, with eight years’ experience supporting women through menopause.
Julie’s background in adult social care continues to shape how she delivers this work – practical, realistic and grounded in the realities of emotionally demanding roles.
Next steps
If this feels like it could support your team or volunteers, I’d be very happy to have a short conversation to explore fit.
Following that conversation, I can forward written information outlining the package, along with a summary of early pilot feedback, to support internal discussion and decision making.

“Julie’s open discussion was very well received by staff. She made practical suggestions and offered real value. A highly recommended workshop!”

Thanks so much for your amazing workshop everyone came away feeling so much more informed and we had fun too. I think we all really appreciated the chance to talk honestly and openly and find the tools and courage needed to ask for help and push forward even if a few obstacles are thrown in the way. It would be nice to have a magic Menopause pill but we know that’s not the case, but you helped us to understand what’s happening to our bodies and what we can do to support our own wellbeing, I think that’s hugely empowering.
