Rooms at the Suffolk Menopause Retreat
For this weekend Menopause Retreat in Suffolk our accommodation will be the luxurious Sheepyard Barn, which is located in a secluded setting approximately 1 mile from the road from the village of Hintlesham. There is ample space for a maximum of 10 guests to relax and break free of daily stresses.
The Accommodation & Rooms
Inside the barn, there is a large open plan living space with impressive views over the surrounding countryside. The central table and kitchen island enables us to come together for breakfast and dinner. In addition, there is a huge bespoke sofa to comfortably seat us all in the evening, and the opportunity to use the home cinema system or board games available for our use. The indoor pool is at the heart of the property and measures 6.5m x 3.5m and has an endless swimming machine.
Outside, there is a private hot tub that you are free to access at any time. A stunning covered outdoor lounge area that is set amongst the trees. I envisage us holding our breathwork sessions here, among the sounds of nature and birdsong. Here you will find hammocks nestled between the trees and the start of a 3.5 mile circular walk for those who want to retreat a little more into nature. On the large patio area there is dining table and a wood fired pizza oven which we will use for one of our evening meals.

The Rooms
Room One – The Bunk Room
Two spaces remaining in this room.
The bunk room has been creatively designed for adult use, with a high ceiling and four adult sized bunk beds (small double). Each bed has its own light fitting and phone charging shelf. The beds have a very high comfort mattress and duvet to ensure you have a cosy nights sleep.
Each guest will be provided with a lightweight gown, a bath sheet and a hand towel. You may wish to bring an additional towels to use for the pool and hot tub.
This room is located immediately next door to the family bathroom with a beautiful walk-in shower and a bath.

Room Two – The Twin Room
Fully Booked
Two single beds, that can be made into a double if you wish. The beds have a very high comfort mattress and duvet. There is plenty of space for storing your belongings and an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower.
Each guest will be provided with a lightweight gown and a towel. You may wish to bring an additional towel to use for the pool and hot tub.
This room features a walk in dressing room to get to the main bedroom and a 40″ television.
Price: £580 per person or £730 sole occupancy.

Room Three – Super king double bedroom with ensuite
Fully Booked
A gorgeous, spacious room with a view over the Suffolk countryside. Lose yourself in the super king bed, featuring high comfort mattress and dressed with luxury bed linen to ensure you have complete relaxation.
This room has additional seating, a well designed dressing table with mirror and ample storage for your belongings.
The room has a generous ensuite bathroom with a large walk in shower.
Each guest will be provided with a lightweight gown, a bath sheet and a towel. You may wish to bring an additional towel to use for the pool and hot tub.
This room features a 40″ television if you choose to retire to your room early or for some time to yourself.
The room can be taken on an individual basis or shared. There is so much room in the super king bed, you won’t even notice your friend if you choose to share!

Room Four – Master Super King Double Bedroom with Ensuite and Bath
This master bedroom is a bright and airy room, located to the far right of all the bedrooms. In here you will have breath-taking views over the countryside, along with direct access out onto the patio area, so you can feel the grass beneath your feet. Sunrise, with a coffee in hand would be just magical.
Fill the freestanding bath with bubbles, lie back and relax as the sun goes down. The bath lies behind privacy glass, so you won’t need to worry about your modesty. The ensuite has another spacious, walk-in shower with lots of natural light.
The room has ample storage for all your belongings.
There is a 40″ television, not that you will need here, with the stunning views.
This room is available for individual use or for two sharing. You will be sharing the roomy, super king bed.

Retreat – FAQs
“I think I might be perimenopausal, I’m not sure. Can I still come?”
Absolutely yes! With hormonal changes beginning in our mid thirties, this would be a great time to begin learning how you can feel great but also protect your long term health.
“Are all the food and drinks supplied?”
A welcome alcoholic drink will be provided on arrival. All breakfasts and dinners are included. As is a three course meal cooked by a private chef. During the day you will have free time to explore the area or simply relax, therefore lunches are not included. You will have the option to participate in a group walk through the countryside to enjoy lunch at a local venue, however this will incur a minimal charge. Soft drinks are all included.
“How does the payment work? Can I pay in instalments?”
Your place is secured with a £100 non-refundable deposit. You are welcome to pay by instalments, with payment options over 6 months if you wish. Contact me directly to arrange a plan that suits your needs.
“I’m worried about coming alone. Do other guests tend to come on their own or with friends?”
Lots of women come to my retreats on their own. In fact, it’s more common to come alone than with a group. Community is at the core of my retreats, off loading thoughts and feelings that nobody else understands, along with belly laughs that make everything better. You are not forced to participate in any activity, it is your weekend to do as you please.
